Grounded from Work!!!
I went for my weekly appointment on Thursday morning. Since I am considered High Risk, I had yet another ultrasound to make sure Baby Jones was still okay and more importantly, head down. He was and has repositioned himself for his grand entrance into this world. The part I am getting worried about is that he already measures approximately 7.5 lbs!!!! Ewww and Oucccchhh is all I can think of. After the ultrasound, I was off to wait on Dr. Vick and his "evil exam"............... I am 2 cm dilated and 80% effaced. Not real sure what all that means except that I think I am on my way to having a baby. Duh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After the exam and a look at my feet, aka Cankles, I was told that Friday would need to be my last day at work. I cried. I wasn't prepared to be grounded. I was determined to work up until the last possible moment. Again, something I have no control over!! Is someone trying to tell me something? I think so. I am learning to let life happen............. one day at a time!!
So yesterday was my last of school for a while. I am officially on Maternity leave. My kids were expecting any day to be my last day, so they were okay with news. Many of them were sad. I just hope I don't get bored waiting on this kid to arrive!!!!!
My 8th Grade Girls gave me a surprise party ---- here are the pics.
The girls underneath their "redneck" banner. (made of computer paper and fishing line)
My super cute cake............ lovin it!!!
Jerry and I have a few plans for today. He is going to finish pressure washing my house, the boys and Kathy and Kamry are coming out for yard and house work, and then digging up the yard to see where my leak is at!! I think we are all nesting, waiting for the baby to get here.

Can I be done now???
I just need to say that with less than a week until my "due date", I am officially over this whole pregnancy thing. September is NOT the time for a woman to be gestating especially when she also stands on her feet all day teaching. Puffy ankles, puffy feet, puffy face, puffy -- public domain -- rub on my belly, that's me. Oh, and let's add the gagillion times a day comments from co-workers, "Are you over it?" or "I can't believe you are still working!" I am simply tired of being tired and puffy and peeing all the time. I am ready to meet my little guy. His room is ready when he is.
So, can I be done now?

Baby Stuff and Boomsday ******
This past Saturday my friend, Kristy, and her 2 children, Gracie (4) and Braden (1), came out to help me organize the nursery!! I was so overwhelmed with everything piled up on the guest bed. I have gotten so much from baby showers, I didn't know what I would use and what I wouldn't. I was so glad that Kristy was able to help me go through everything and make the nursery functional. Here is what I ended up with. I like it and now only need the baby to make it complete.........due date is Sept. 15th........ so 11 days until then, but it could happen at any time!!!
The crib..........
The changing area........... that is a bookshelf with a changing pad on top. That was Kathy's idea..... multi-functional and way cheaper than an actual changing table.
The view as you walk in the nursery..........
Sunday was restful and relaxing. Jerry had been canoeing with his best friend on Friday and Saturday, so I was able to head over Sunday to see him. It wasn't our weekend, but we ended up getting the girls from their mom and took them to Boomsday. They had a ball and were so excited all day............... couldn't wait for it to be dark!!
Chloe and Olivia with their light sticks. Chloe's plays music.
Jerry and the girls before the fireworks start.
