Has it been 3 Weeks???

Again, times flies when you are having FUN!!! Fall Break was a busy week. Joshua and I were able to meet Jerry and the girls for an evening at Fountain City Park.
I think Jerry and Joshua had more fun trying to peg squirrels with a football, while I was busy testing my ability on the rip slide.........................

I really think Joshua was attempting to hurl the football at Jerry !!!

On the Friday of Fall Break, Jerry came out to shoot his guns, to test them and play before he went on his hunting trip. Joshua and I were asked to come along............ but I think I asked too many questions. Joshua was able to shoot the muzzle loader and did pretty well. (Notice the puff of smoke!!)

This past weekend was busy. Not only did I take Joshua home for the weekend, but I also took Maddi to spend some quality time with her sister (Kashmir) and Kathy's kids. Joshua took this picture on our way there.............. Maddi's view from the back of the Kia..................... She is getting so big and probably weighs a good 65 lbs. She had a fun time and was apparently worn out from the activities that the boys did with her, b/c she is still laying around and sleeping.

I headed to Jacksboro after dropping them off. Jerry and his brother Scott began building a storage facility.
I now know what an "auger" is............ although I may not be able to spell it. This was the first pole that went up. 23 or so more later on Saturday nite, they were done with that phase of the "barn", not "bomb" as the girls called it!!!
Chloe and Olivia occupied their time in the water-less pool. I don't understand how this piece of plastic could be so much fun, but then again, I am not 5 1/2 or 4 !!!!!

Sunday we made our way to the corn maze. We stopped by Mom and Dad's for them to meet Jerry and the girls. While at the house, the girls explored every aspect of the house, and were most impressed with the number of bathrooms they had and the candy supply. They wrote with the sidewalk chalk and played frisbee.

We walked through the corn maze, skipping numbers only because we could never find them. Jerry and I had great fun pelting each other with corn kernels throughout the maze. I am still finding corn kernels in my purse.
The girls after getting their faces painted ........ posing by the great pumpkin.
We took a hayride....................... looked at the smelly cows and then I picked a small pumpkin.
I am ready for Thanksgiving Break......................... just for a break in general. Joshua and I are doing good. We still have our moments and with basketball season beginning, we stay busy.
Thanks for checking in.............................

4-Wheelin and Pumpkins...........

What a busy weekend I (we) had !!! I had been asked to go riding with Jerry AND the girls this past Saturday and so I was up, showered, and at their house by 6 that morning!! Upon my arrival, I was braiding 2 heads of hair, because Daddy doesn't braid !! After loading all our gear up, we headed out, stopped for breakfast, and then headed out into the wild, blue yonder.
Chloe and Olivia cheesin for me before we get started out on our long day.

Olivia and I discovered what we now know is a millipede. This bad boy was as big around as my index finger!!!
We went riding through numerous mudholes..... yes getting stuck!! Which is half the fun!!
Jerry knew he wasn't going to make it through this one, but didn't care! He loved every minute of it. The girls and I loved watching him get stuck too!!!!

At one point, we tipped over on my side! I Loved it!!
I was still in there while Jerry took this picture. I was laughing and wanted to do it again! The girls didn't think the same way I did. We were all fine and the girls were still talking about it on Sunday. I do have to mention that my right hip is slightly sore due to the roll bar on my side. It served it's purpose by keeping me in the Ranger.

Me and Chloe (yes, I am wearing Camo....... watch out Gander Mtn.)

Chloe and her Daddy.............

Me, Chloe and Olivia killing time on a break!!

We didn't get back to the house until 8:00. We were tired and hungry. Jerry's dad (Papaw) and brother Scott were there, so the girls were excited to tell them about us flipping sideways in the Ranger !!! Of course I had to show my pictures too! I was glad to meet his Dad and brother. We spent the rest of the evening relaxing and talking.

I was invited to come back over to Jerry's on Sunday, not sure what we were going to do, just knowing we could spend more time together. Now that I have met the girls, I think that Jerry and I will be able to see each other more. I enjoyed being around them and have a pretty good feeling they felt the same. I was showered with hugs and kisses as I left last night.
Jerry, the Arteest, drawing an intricate design for the pumpkin. I wasn't sure he could pull off the carving from his artwork. Of course I was wrong. I underestimated his carving ability.
Scooping out Pumpkin Brains..................
The finished product................... ooooohhhhh aaahhhhhhh.
Chloe demonstrates what she would look like as a pumpkin!
Olivia and Chloe in front of the pumpkin !!!!!
Good times, good times............ as I said earlier, I had fun and know Jerry and the girls did too. I am happy and living in the moment, for the first time in 37 years.

Is it Fall Break Yet?????

As I sit here to update, there is so much to say, yet I am at a loss for words. It seems as if the last 2 weeks have flown by...................... in a good way.

Jerry and I are still seeing each other and are very happy. After not seeing or talking to each other for an entire weekend, we realized we really missed each other and that there is something more there....... they call it Love !! We spent most of last weekend together, yes, 4 wheeling here in scenic Roane County. Friday (the 28th) started with him coming over about 15 minutes after Joshua and I got home from school. Joshua finally got to meet the mystery man in his Aunt Carol's life. I think they hit it off and now Joshua can put a real person with the name. Jerry also went with me to take Joshua to Kathy. Saturday we went riding and exploring all day.
One of many overlooks we were able to get to.

Another overlook.............................
We had no clue where we were going but I learned that I want a GPS. That little gadget is too stinkin cool. With it, we were able to make it back to the truck.
Sunday we also went riding.
This is the first overlook we stopped at on Sunday.
The view from this overlook was absolutely unreal.
This time we ended up by I-40 and about 3 hours away from the truck.
We ended up calling my friend Crystal (she was glad to finally met him too)and her husband Zac to come get us and take us back to the truck so that we wouldn't have to back track and waste time.
Jerry posing at the Power lines .....................
I needed to go see Anne at the hospital (see the link for her blog) and needed to get ready. We got back home about 2, he left, and I got ready and went and saw Anne. Our plan was to meet back up that evening since I would be near his house. When I called him, he said he had gotten the girls for a little bit and they were at the park. He invited me to the park so that I could meet them !!!!! I was not prepared for that. I have mentioned that it would be a big step and it took me off guard. Thank goodness Anne and Steven were around to calm me down. The park and meeting the girls went great. Olivia is 5 and Chloe is 3 1/2. We had a good time and played until almost dark, when Jerry left to take them back to their mom. I waited on him to do that and then followed him to his house and ate dinner. I had a great weekend and am so blessed to have a man in my life who loves me for who I am....... the real me!!

Joshua is having his moments. He is testing me and I am attempting to handle those moments the best I can. He started basketball practice this week and it has managed to wear him out!! Looks like I am going to start getting Really busy!!!

Next week is our Fall Break. I have doctors appointments and Joshua has ball practice. We will be busy and relaxing at the same time. As long as I am not in school for a week, I don't care what I do. I might break out the cleaning supplies and clean this house............ or not.

Life is good, Joshua is good, Maddi is good, and I am good............... and I can't wait for next week and Fall Break !!!!!
Splashing through the puddles............................. until next time.
